Kenneth Ramsey

Kenneth James Ramsey Sr., 61, 55 Sunrise Drive, Route 3, died at the Daviess County Hospital at 6:45 p.m. Sunday. The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Free Methodist Church with the Rev. John Lefler officiating. Interment will be in the New Veale Creek Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gill Funeral Home after 4 p.m. Tuesday. The casket will be taken to the church at noon Wednesday. He was born July 6, 1929 in Daviess County to James A. and Dorothy E. Bathchelor Ramsey. He married Bonnie Louise Lankford September 19, 1951 and she survives. He owned and operated B & K Variety for several years and was also a self employed trucker for several years. He was a member of the Free Methodist Church and attended Sugarland and Washington Schools. Surviving are his wife and mother and stepfather, Dorothy and Leo Ramsey, Washington, two daughters and one son, Mrs. Terry (Dorothy Marie) Burton, Marsha Ellen Kluemper, and Kenneth James Ramsey Jr., all of Washington, five grandchildren and two brothers, Robert Dale Ramsey, Louisville, Kentucky, and Max Alvin Ramsey, Washington, and two stepsisters and five stepbrothers, Mrs. Violet Sims, Mrs. Janet Chestnut, Jake, Gary, and Elmo Ramsey, all of Odon; Daniel Ramsey, Loogootee; and Leo Ramsey, Owensville.
