Martha Elizabeth Bennington Smith

Indiana native Mrs. Martha E. Smith, 97, of 260 Grand Ave., DeLeon Springs, Florida, died Friday in University Convalescent Center East in DeLand, Florida. Born in Daviess County, Indiana, Mrs. Smith moved to DeLeon Springs six years ago from Washington, Indiana. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Washington. Survivors are one son, Ralph Smith of DeLeon Springs, five grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services and burial will be from Gill Funeral Home in Washington, with the Carpenter Funeral Home , DeLand, in charge locally.
