Bertha Potts Troutman, 89, 313 S.E. 13th St., died at 2:39 a.m. Sunday at Daviess Community Hospital.
Bertha Potts Troutman - Washington Times-Herald Bertha Potts Troutman, 89, 313 S.E. 13th St., died at 2:39 a.m. Sunday at Daviess Community Hospital. Born June 16, 1917, in Daviess County, she was the daughter of Lawrence R. and Myrtle (Potts) Taylor. She attended Washington schools and was a cafeteria worker at Washington High School before retiring. She was a member of Bethany Christian Church. She is survived by her husband, Norman Troutman, whom she married May 8, 1995; one daughter and son-in-law, Roberta Kay and Stephen Brown of Orleans; one son, Lloyd Leon Potts of Ft. Myers, Fla.; one granddaughter, Angela Ferguson; one great-grandson, Levi Ferguson; and one sister, Mary Hamilton of Springport. Her first husband, Lloyd A. Potts, whom she married Jan. 20, 1934, died Nov. 14, 1976. One daughter, Sandra Sue Potts, nine sisters, and four brothers are also deceased. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Gill Chapel, with Bro. Richard Smith officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Reeve Township. Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday and after 9 a.m. Thursday until time of services at the funeral home.
