Welcome to Daviess County, INGenWeb

Updated 12/30/18

Welcome

I'm Kathy Allen, the coordinator for Daviess County.  I apologize to those of you who have sent in information. I really intended to "retire" from keeping this site because of our resettling but it seems many other people were too busy. So, here I am after years actually. I hope to catch up the site, make some changes and expand the info. However, I could really use anyone's help that has information about Daviess County. Pictures, stories, information, and so forth.

Please feel free to contact me with questions, comments, and contributions.

Our Neighbors

Daviess County was created from Knox County in 1817. It is located in southern Indiana and is surrounded by Greene County to the north, Martin County to the east, Dubois and Pike Counties to the south and Knox County to the west. As many of the early settlers traveled and resided between these counties, we encourage you to check out our INGenWeb neighbors with the links provided above.
