Reunions

			This page is devoted to reunions that are to be held in (or near) Dearborn county. If you have a reunion that you would like posted, please contact me, John Minneman, with your information, or any questions. I would like to limit the postings to reunions of decendants of people that at one time lived in Dearborn county. Please send the information concerning the date/time/place, along with directions if needed. Also the surname(s) of the reunion. Ex. Nead Reunion. You may include an explanation of the ancestors involved...ex Decendants of Peter and Mary Nead. I would also be happy to post class reunions. Please submit the information written the way that you would like to see it posted. I plan on copying and pasting it to the page.
		*NEAMAN/NIEMAN Family Reunion Annually, the 3rd Sunday in August, located at the Rising Sun Senior Center The Neaman/Nieman family association will meet on Sunday, August 21st, 2005 at the Dearborn Adult Center, Lawrenceburg. The gathering includes a pitch-in meal, which will be served at 12:30 PM Indiana time. The Niemann family members immigrated from Buer near Melle, Hannover, Germany to Ohio and Dearborn Counties in Indiana from 1830 - 1860. They resided in Rising Sun, Bear Branch, Farmer's Retreat, Manchester and Aurora in the 1800's. The families descend primarily from brothers Jobst (Joseph) and Gerhard Niemann. Other early families associated with the Niemans: Bussmann (Bushman), Luecking (Licking), Schroeder, Uhlmansiek, Seelmeier (Selmeyer), and Schwede (Schwada).
