Established 1862

The "Krontz Cemetery" is physically located on DeKalb County Road 63, approximately one (1) mile north of DeKalb County Road 40 on the west side of County Road 63. Evidence shows that it is properly maintained with a few exceptions. Many of the tombstones are broken and/or missing. During the gathering of these inscriptions, it was noticed that there are portions of tombstones lying on the side of the hill bordering the north side of the cemetery. These could possible by re-claimed and matched to the tombstones indicated on the graves.

John A. Krontz gave the property on which the cemetery lies. John was an early settler of Wilmington Township, DeKalb County, Indiana, having moved there from Ohio around 1843.

Notes inside parentheses are my personal notes added for information.
