Brandon, Treasurer of De Kalb County, Ind., was born in Plain Township, Stark Co., Ohio, Dec. 29, 1840, a son of John and Mary Brandon. In 1849 he came with his parents to Indiana and settled on a farm near Auburn, De Kalb County, where he lived till manhood. In 1864 he was married to Miss Maria Garver, of Auburn. He then carried on his father’s farm till 1869, when he purchased a tract of wild land, which he improved, and it is now his fine farm in Jackson Township. In 1878 he was elected Trustee of his township; was re-elected in 1880, serving four years. In the fall of 1884 he was elected on the Democratic ticket, Treasurer of De Kalb County, a position he is filling with efficiency. Mr. and Mrs. Brandon have had five children; but four are living---Clement V., Clyde, Bertha G. and John. Nora G. died July 2, 1876, aged nine months.
