William Henry Grube, section 9, Stafford Township, was born in Massillon, 
Ohio, in October, 1843, a son of Peter Grube, of this township.  He was 
reared a farmer, having but limited educational advantages, and after 
reaching manhood worked at farming by the month several years.  He then 
bought a Canton, Ohio, thresher, and during the summer threshed seven years, 
working in the pineries of Michigan in the winter. He now owns a fine farm 
of 111 acres, and is a successful farmer and stock-raiser. He was married 
May 20, 1881, to Mary Haas, daughter of Michael Haas.  They have one child---
Charles, aged three years, and one child died in infancy.  Mr. Grube has 
been a member of the Odd Fellows’ order fifteen years.
