Smith, and May 27, 1936, they came to De Kalb County, Ind. The family afterward moved to Missouri, where Mrs. Martins’ mother died. Mr. Smith and his two eldest children, a son and a daughter, are living in Missouri. His youngest son, Isaac B., Jr., died while a soldier in the war of the Rebellion. When Mr. Martin came to De Kalb County, forty-nine years ago, Indians were more numerous than white men, and wild game of all kinds were in abundance.
