Scoville, son of Edward and Lydia (Culp) Scoville, resides on section 29, Stafford Township, where he has charge of the old homestead of his parents. He was born in Stafford Township, Sept. 10, 1850, and was reared and educated in his native county, attending the common-schools of his district. He is an enterprising and industrious young man, and one of the representative farmers of his township. Reared a framer, he understands all the details of agricultural life and is making a success of that vocation. He was married Oct. 9, 1877, to Hattie Joslyn, a native of Cortland County, N.Y., born Feb. 3, 1858, daughter of Clark Joslyn, deceased. To Mr. and Mrs. Scoville have been born two children, but one of whom is living---Frank. Mrs. Scoville is a member of the Disciples church.
