David Sink, son of George and Polly (Linkenfelter) Sink, was born in Mahoning County, Ohio, in July, 1845, and was an infant when his parents moved to De Kalb County. In this county he grew to manhood, receiving his education in the schools of Union Township. He was early iured to the duties of farm-life, and since the death of his father has had charge of the homestead. He is an industrious, frugal young man, and a worthy successor of a worthy father. His ability has been manifest in the management of the estate and care of the younger children. He was married in 1870 to Louisa M. Wherly, daughter of Randolph and Mary Wherly, of De Kalb County.
