SCOVILLE, FRANK

    
Frank Scoville, 81, who was born in Stafford township, DeKalb county, and resided in that area all of his lifetime, died suddenly at his home at 6 a.m. Sunday. 

Mr. Scoville is believed to have suffered a fatal stroke of paralysis. He was found dead on the davenport of his home by a son-in-law, Robert Weaner, who with his wife, resided in the Scoville home.  Mr. Scoville had gotten up and had put some wood in a stove shortly before his death.  Mr. and Mrs. Weaner said they heard Mr. Scoville attending the stove and when they went downstairs they found him dead.  He had been in failing health for the past couple of years and had undergone surgery on two occasions in that period.  However, he was able to be up and around and did some light work around the farm home on Saturday. 

The body was removed to the Perkins & Reeb funeral home at Hicksville, O., where funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday.  Harvey A. Schondelmeyer of Warren, Ind., former pastor of the Newville Church of Christ will officiate at the services and burial will follow in Riverside cemetery at Newville.  

Mr. Scoville was born in Stafford township on Aug. 24, 1880, and he was the son of Warren E. and Hattie Joslin Scoville. 

He and Mary Kelley were united in marriage on March 5, 1905. 

His wife preceded him in death on Sept. 19, 1960. 

Mr. Scoville was a retired farmer. 

Surviving in addition to the daughter are a son, Rodney Scoville of Rt. 1, Butler;  two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
