WILCOX, GEORGE W.


News was received in Auburn Monday of the death of Geo. W. Wilcox, well known about New Era and elsewhere in the county. 

He died at the residence of a brother living near Pleasant Lake. 

He was a man of about fifty years, a widower, without children of his own. 

Leaves an adopted daughter, Mrs. Chas. Pepple, living near LaOtto.  A deceased adopted daughter married Boyce Fair and Mr. Fair and his two children, Margery A. and Bertha B. Fair, will benefit under the will.  

Mr. Wilcox was a sufferer from consumption. 

The funeral services be held from Cedar Chapel and the body buried in the adjoining graveyard, Wednesday at 1 p.m., and all those not able to be a Cedar at this time will have the privilege of viewing the body at the Dilgard undertaking parlors on 8th street in Auburn on Tuesday, where it will lie in state from one to six p.m.
