BREECE, HENRY C.


The death of Henry Clay Breece, 84, took place Wednesday afternoon at 1:10 at his home, 819 South Franklin street in Garrett.  

Mr. Breece, a retired Baltimore & Ohio track foreman, had been ailing several weeks with heart disease and became bedfast Dec. 4. 

He was born Apr. 15, 1858, in Allen county., O., and came to Garrett in 1900.  He retired in 1923.  

Mr. Breece and Hattie Masterman of Walkerton were married in 1903 and she survives with two sons, Otto Breece of Plymouth, Ind., and Hollis C. Breece of West Carrolton., O., four grandchildren and one great grandchild. 

Mr. Breece was the last of a family of thirteen children. 

Mr. Breece was a member of the Church of Christ, the men’s Bible class, the Odd Fellows and the Baltimore & Ohio Veteran Employee Association.  Members of the Bible class will act as pallbearers. 

Funeral arrangements have not been made.  Friends are asked to omit flowers. 

The body was taken to the Geo. W. Iler mortuary and was returned to the family residence Wednesday evening.
