SCOVILLE, MARY (KELLEY)


Funeral services for Mrs. Mary K. Scoville, 78, wife of Frank Scoville of Stafford township, DeKalb county, were conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Perkins & Reeb funeral home at Hicksville, O.  

Officiating at the services was the Rev. Harvey K. Schondelmayer of Warren, Ind., a former pastor of the Church of Christ at Newville.  Burial followed at Riverside cemetery at Newville.  

Mrs. Scoville was found dead in her bed about 8 a.m. Monday. She had been in failing health for several years but did not appear to be in any worse condition when she retired Sunday night. 

She was born April 18, 1882 in Stafford township and was the daughter of the late James M. and Melissa Haverstock Kelley.  While she was a small child the family moved to Fayette, O., but returned to Indiana a few years later.  

In 1905 she and Mr. Scoville were united in marriage and the couple resided in Stafford township practically all of their married life. 

Surviving in adding to the husband are a son, Rodney Scoville of Butler;  a daughter, Mrs. Ardis Weaner, who resided in a part of the Scoville residence with her husband, Robert Weaner;  two grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
