FUSSELMAN-Henry Source: The New Era, Auburn, DeKalb County, Indiana Vol. 4 No 14, 14 March 1863 FUSSELMAN - At his residence in Newville, February 27, 1863, of lung fever, HENRY FUSSELMAN, in the 48th year of his age. The deceased emigrated from Trumbull Co., Ohio, to DeKalb when it was nearly an unbroken wilderness, since which time, until his death, his name has been intimately connected with history of its rise and progress. Few men in the County were so widely known or so generally beloved as he. He was a patriot and enterprising citizen, a kind neighbor, a warm and true friend, a loving father and an affectionate husband. His character was distinguished by a manly sincerity, by the warmth of his affection, the excellence of his judgment, and for that fine tact which enabled him to pursue the right course without giving offence to any. An earnest christian, -the first Church in Stafford was organized at his house - and he died as he had lived, in the faith and hope of the Gospel. M. M.
