Source: Article from a 1927 Fremont Eagle. SHOUP REUNION The nineteenth annual reunion of the SHOUP family was held at the country home of Mr. and Mrs. J. J. GREENAMYER, August 20, 1927. The day was ideal and relatives and friends to the number of sixty-nine gathered to partake of the bountiful dinner which was served on the lawn and to renew friendship. In the afternoon the president called the meeting to order and a very nice program was given, including an ideal talk from Rev. McMURTREY which was enjoyed by all and the following officers were elected; Carl MICHAEL, vice-president; Marguerite SHOUP, secretary and treasurer. Relatives were present from Detroit, Jackson, Battle Creek, Coldwater and Camden, Michigan; Edon and Cooney, Ohio; St. Joe, Garrett, Angola and Fremont,Indiana. Ice cream was served and all departed to their various homes expecting to meet next year with Mr. and Mrs. P. F. SHOUP near Cooney, Ohio. Submitted by: Kathy Rinke rinke16@home.com
