Gone But Not Forgotten

The following is a list of cemeteries that once existed in Niles Township.

This includes places where people were interred but there are no markers,
or places where the remains were moved and reinterred in other cemeteries.

Hults Cemetery

Located half a mile east of County Road 850 East and south of County Road 900 North, in section 36 of Niles Township. There are no stones and the area has been plowed over.


Maitlen Cemetery

Located on County Road 1000 North 1/4 mile east of County Road 800 East in section 24 of Niles Township. The stones have fallen over and are buried.


McCoy Cemetery

Located south of County Road 700 East and County Road 1000 North in section 27 of Niles Township.


Payne Cemetery

Located on County Road 1100 North and County Road 350 East in section 19 of Niles Township. It was on the east side of the road half a mile back at the fence line.
