OPPELT, Col. Robert H.

April 16, 1957

Notes: Col. Robert H. Oppelt. Col. Robert H. Oppelt, 45, formerly of Lakewood, died in Tokyo on Apr. 7. He attended Lakewood High School and Baldwin-Wallace College before entering the Army. During  World War II, he served in North Africa and Europe. He was awarded the Purple Star and Silver Star at Anzio.  After the war, he participated in administration of the Marshall Plan in England prior to his transfer to Japan. Before entering the Army, Col. Oppelt was with Capital Airlines in Cleveland, Detroit and Washington.  He is survived by his wife. Emily; three children, Patty, Kitty and Bobby; his mother, Mrs. Georgia F. Oppelt of Conneaut, O., and a brother, Charles, of Muncie, Ind. Services will be in Arlington National Cemetery.


O'TOOLE, James B.

January 4, 1946

O'Toole: James B., beloved husband of the late Minnie F. (nee Becks); father of Sister Marie St. James, C. S. J.; brother of Mrs. Fred Fox, Michael O'Toole of Muncie, Ind., and John J. of Boston, Mass. and the late Mrs. Mary McNeeley, Patrick and Catherine Webb; at his residence, 6914 Franklin blvd., Tuesday, Jan. 1, 1946. Friends may call at McGorray Bros. Lakewood Home, 14133 Detroit ave. Funeral services Saturday, Jan. 5. St. Colman's Church, at 10 a. m.
