Mary E. Poor, born April 1857, eldest daughter of the 12 known children born to Thomas C. Poor and his two wives. She was the daughter of Martha J. Haynes, Union Township, Delaware County. She married 8 Sept 1877 28 yr old William Cassell Edwards. He was the son of Absalom and Susannah (Wilson) Edwards who lived in Niles Township, section 23 as early as 1833, being one of the first settlers. They met and married in Union Township, Delaware County, but subsequently moved to Blackford County and had six children where they lived for the remainder of their lives. One child died and the childrens photo depicts five of the Edwards children: Minnie Alice Edwards born 1881, Nellie I. Edwards 1882, Roscoe A. Edwards 1887, Zona Ann Edwards 1893, Ralph Charles Edwards 1895.
