Mrs. Edith Ellen Combs

Mrs. Edith Ellen Combs, 58, French Lick, passed away early Friday morning to injuries suffered in an automobile accident four nights earlier. Mrs. Combs was under treatment in Orange County Hospital for a fractured vertebra, broken ribs and lacerations on the head.

The traffic victim was a passenger in a car driven by Mrs. Elsie Main as the two women were enroute to work at the Gorge Nursing Home. Mrs. Combs had been a nurses aide at the Gorge for almost 14 years.

She is survived by her husband, Willard Combs, two sons, Donald Combs of Azusa, Calif., and Wm. Combs of Avoca; two brothers, Wm. Clayton Hueston, French Lick, and Owen Hueston, West Baden, five grandchildren and one great grandchild.
