Obituaries

John H. Goller age 82 of Jasper died at 10:22 p.m. Thursday (March 25,
2004) in the Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper. He was born on January 27, 1922 at Alfordsville, Indiana. His parents,
William H. and Edna (Weisheit) Goller. He married Verna Braun on February 9, 1946 at St. John’s Lutheran Church at the Dubois Crossroads. He is a WWII Army Veteran serving in the 11th Armored Division in the
European Theater and fought in the Battle of the Bulge.
He retired from Jasper Plant Foods. He also worked for Brescher’s Soil
Service at Ireland and A.M. Bohnert and Sons in Jasper. His memberships include, St. John’s Lutheran Church, V.F.W. Post # 673 -
American Legion Post # 147.
Surviving are his wife Verna.

1 brother, Willis Goller, Jasper, IN
Preceding him in death are his step-Mother Irma (Nordhoff) Goller and 2
sisters, Emma Mae and Edna Mae Goller who died in infancy. Funeral services for John H. Goller will be held at 11:00 a..m. Monday (March 29, 2004) at St. John’s Lutheran Church at the Dubois Crossroads
with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Dr. Edith Johnson will
officiate. V.F.W. Post # 673 in Jasper will conduct military grave side rites. Friends may call from 11 - 8 p.m. Sunday at the Becher - Kluesner North
Chapel in Jasper and one hour before services at the church on Monday. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church
