Betty (Neukam) Lemond , age 87 of Jasper passed away at 11:10 p.m. Saturday (August 27, 2016) in Jasper.
She was born in Martin County, Indiana on July 20, 1929 to Warren and Viola (Keller) Coleman.
Her first marriage was to Gilbert G. Neukam on February 21, 1950 in Christ Lutheran church in Haysville. He preceded her in death on July 28, 1979. Her second marriage was to Oscar S. Lemond on July 20, 1986 in St. John’s Lutheran Church at the Dubois Crossroads.

Betty was a farmer’s wife and homemaker. She maintained a lifelong friendship with all her neighbors in Crystal, Indiana. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Haysville and many years of membership at St. John’s Lutheran Church at the Dubois Crossroads.

Granddaughter, Tracy and husband Jeremy Lee. Grandsons, Tony (Thersa) Weisman, Reverend Timothy Weisman, Scott (Gaby) Neukam, Reverend Michael (Mary) Neukam. Great Grandchildren, Tiffany and Todd Weisman, Matthew and Kendall Lee, Ethan, Benjamin, Jude and Hadassah Neukam. Also surviving several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death is one step son, Alfred Kendall.

Funeral services for Betty Lemond will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, (September 3, 2016), at Christ Lutheran Church in Haysville with burial to follow in St. John’s Cemetery at the Dubois Crossroads. The Rev. Timothy Kraemer will officiate.

Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until Noon on Saturday (September 3, 2016), at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper and one hour before services at Christ Lutheran Church in Haysville.
