MRS. RAY F. YODER

GOSHEN- Mrs. Ray F. (Clara) Yoder,68 of 433 Westwood Dr. died Wednesday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Miss Marie Yoder, 3003 S. Main St. She had been ill several years.

She was a resident of Nappanee for many years, coming to Goshen two months ago. She had been at the home of her daughter the past five weeks. She was born in St.Joseph County on Nov. 8, 1891, she was a member of the Salem Mennonite Church.

She was married to the Rev. Ray F.Yoder on Feb. 20, 1913.

Surviving with her husband and daughter, Marie, are three other daughters, Mrs. Myron Amstutz, and Mrs. Lester Miller, both of Toledo, and Mrs. Richard Snodey, Washington, D.C.; five sons, Truman Yoder, Swanton, OH, Sanford, Benton, John Mark, Chicago, Clayton, Phoeniz Ariz. and Wayne of Goshen. Five brothers, John, George, and Joseph Smeltzer, all of Goshen, Roscoe Smeltzer of Highland, Ind.; and Arthur Smeltzer of Wakarusa; two sisters, Mrs. Francis Freed, Nappanee, and Mrs. Ora M. Yoder, Shipshewana, and 16 granchildren. One brother, Calvin Smeltzer died several months ago, and another brother Elmer, died last year.

Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the Yellow Creek Mennonite church. Burial will be in Yellow Creek cemetery.

Ruby Irene Yoder, 91, 1225 Greencroft Drive, died at 10:35p.m. Friday in Greencroft Terraces. She had been ill since February. She was born Sept. 21, 1907 in Goshen to Perry and Cecil (Hardesty) Wogoman. She married George Chrisman. He died August 4, 1971. On Nov. 10 1973 in Goshen she married Alvin
J. Yoder. She was a homemaker and a life time resident of Goshen area.

Surviving are her husband; a daughter Shirley Clark, Elkhorn, Ky., two sons Roy Ritchcreek Jr., Goshen, and Paul Chrisman, Orlando, Fl., three stepsons. Stanley Yoder and James Yoder both of Goshen and Harold Yoder, Nashville, Tenn.; nine grandchildren;six great grandchildren; a sister Norma (Mrs. Robert) West, of Goshen; a brother, George Juday, Goshen. She was preceded in death by three sons, Richard Chrisman, Dale Chrisman, and Robert Chrisman; three sisters Gladys Evans, Elizabeth Sommers, and HattieBelle Naylor; and a brother Commodore Wogoman. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm. Monday at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Services will be at 11am Tuesday in the funeral home. The Rev. John A. Albert of Prairie View Missionary Church will conduct the service. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial may be directed to Prairie View Missionary.

ANNA YOST-CLINE

Death of Mrs. Warren Cline - Wife of former County Recorder Passes Away - Mrs. Anna Yost-Cline, wife of Warren S. Cline, former county recorder, passed away at 8 o'clock this morning at her home in New Paris.

Anna Yost was born in Fultonham, Ohio October 2, 1862, and came to Elkhart county in 1881, locating in New Paris, where she has since resided excepting for a short residence in Warsaw and Niles. She married Warren S. Cline, Feb. 22, 1882. They had five children, three of whom died in infancy. Two daughters, Lena who resides at home, and Mrs. Fred Neil of Clinton, Ill. survive. Mrs. Cline joined the ME church when quite young and has always adhered to that faith. She was afflicted with poor health for some time, and underwent several operations. Her suffering was intense and for the past three months she was confined to her bed. She bore all with christian patience and fortitude, and this morning peacefully fell asleep with her family about her bed. Besides her husband and daughters she leaves an aged mother, a grandson, 2 sisters and 2 brothers, Mrs. Harvey Reith, Mrs. John Conrad and CM Yost, of New Paris and Henry Yost of Fultonham, Ohio. Many friends and relatives will mourn her loss. The funeral will be held Friday at 2:00 from the ME church in New Paris, her pastor, Rev. Frank Buckner, officiating. The interment will be in the New Paris cemetery.
