I thought you might want to add this family to your Surname Index: I’m working on a McFarland line and have found a Sarah Ann McFarland Dunkin. She was married to Joseph Dunkin b/PA. Joseph and Sarah lived in Fountain Co., Indiana, where he farmed. He died in Fountain Co., Indiana.
Joseph was born 11 Oct 1804 and died 22 Nov 1864 in Fountain. He may be related to the Allen L. Dunkin in your Biographies as both were born in Pennsylvania. Sarah was born in Virginia in Sept. 1817 and died in Wayne, Iowa in 1900. They had the following children: Thomas b/abt 1831 Edward b/abt 1832 It is possible that Thomas, Edward, and Hercules were from another mother. Hercules b/abt 1835 He appears to have also farmed: Dunkin Herticlus Davis 226a 5 226b Sarah Jane b/abt 1838 Caroline b/abt 1841 John b/abt 1849 Hugh “Huff” b/Aug 1850 in Indiana and d/1 Jul 1895 in St. Louis, St. Louis, MO He had lived in St. Joseph. Josephine Ann b/10 Aug 1851 in Indiana & died 9 May 1948 in Long Beach, Los Angeles, CA (she married Michael Albert Clever & ties into my Clever line) James B. b/1857 in Indiana It appears they lived in Davis Township on your records.
