INGALSBE, Carrie Fugate

Hillsboro- Mrs Carrie Ruth Ingalsbe, 79, of Rt 3 Veedersburg, died at 2 p.m. Wednesday after an illness of two years. A native of Sturge County, Minnesota, she was a daughter of Richard and Melissa Donahue Fugate and was born Feb 6, 1887. She married Adna Ingalsbe on Dec 15, 1908 at Danville, Ill. Surviving besides the husband are seven children, Lankford, Alfred (Alfa), Mrs Bertha Ness and Mrs Melissa Babb, all of Rt 3 Veedersburg, Samuel and Victor of Wingate and Paul of Alvin, Ill: two brothers Bert and Cecil Fugate, and two sisters Mrs Clara Smith and Mrs Ethel Vanvickle, all of Danville, Ill; and 28 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. Two children preceded their mother in death. Mrs Ingalsbee moved to the Hillsboro community from Hope, Ill., 22 years ago. Funeral rites are set for 2 p.m. Friday at Old Union Christian Church at Danville, Ill, where the body will lie in state from 1 p.m. Rev Eugene Haupt will officiate, with interment in the old Johnson Cemetery. Friends may call at the Crumley-Williams Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
