Herschel T. “Jake” Ingram of Catlin, Illinois, age 72, died Sunday morning, December 19, in Vermilion Manor Nursing Home. He was born at Foster, August 24, 1910, the son of Frank and Ella Kees Ingram. December 1, 1935, he married Gladys Hall, who survives.

  A member of Catlin United Methodist Church, he had operated an auto parts store in Danville, Illinois, for 23 years, retiring in 1975, and was a member of the Catlin school board for nine years.

  Also surviving are two daughters, Linda Lewis of North Lauderdale, Florida, and Gladys Renfrow of Roswell, Georgia; two sons, William and Mark, both of Catlin; a sister, Lotella Van Os of Port Angeles, Washington; a brother, Harold of Covington; and four grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at Barrick and Son Funeral Home in Catlin with Rev. Terry Edele officiating. Burial was in Jones Grove Cemetery at Catlin. - thanks to S
