Leo R. Irwin, 56, a 25 year employee of R R Donnelley & Sons, Co, Inc. of Crawfordsville, died at 7 p.m. Thursday at St Elizabeth Hospital at Danville, Ill. where he had been a patient five weeks. He had been seriously ill six months. Mr. Irwin was a warehouse foreman at Donnelley's. A native of Clark County, hewas a son of John and Cordelia Pruitt Irwin and was born Oct 18, 1910. He had lived in Veedersburg since early childhood. He was married April 22, 1931 to Thelma Boord, who survives with three daughters, Mrs. Rita Hoskins of Hillsboro, Mrs. Alice Stonecipher of Veedersburg and Miriam, at home: a son , James of Kingman: six grandchildren, a brother, Ransom of Chicago Heights, Ill, and a sister Mrs. Violet Olds, of Veedersburg. A brother, John, preceded Mr. Irwin in death. He was a member of Sterling Christian Church and the Crawfordsville Elks Lodge. Funeral rites are set fo 2 p.m. Sunday at the Sterling church, with Rev Bill Wilhite officiating and burial in Rose Hill Cemetery at Hillsboro. Friends may call after noon Saturday at Parham Funeral Home in Veedersburg.

Leo R Irwin, 56, died at 7 p.m. yesterday (Apr 6, 1967) at St. Elizabeth Hospital. He had been a patient there five weeks and seriously ill six months. Born Oct 18, 1910, in Parke County, he was the son of John and Cordelia Pruitt Irwin. He was married April 22, 1931, to Thelma Boord, who survives. Mr Irwin was a member of the Sterling Christian Church and the Crawfordsville Elks Lodge. He had been employed for 25 years at R R Donnelley where he was a warehouse foreman. Other survivors include a son, James of Kingman, three daughters, Mrs Rita Hoskins of Hillsboro, Mrs Alice Stonecipher of Veedersburg and Mariam at home: a sister, Mrs Violet Olds of Veedersburg; a brother Ransem of Chicago Heights: and 6 grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Sterling Christian Church. The Rev. Bill Wilhite will officiate. Burial will be in rose Hill Cemetery. The body is at the Parham Funeral Home. Friends will be received after noon Saturday.
