ISLEY, Harry B. - 1949

Harry B. Isley, 78, a retired blacksmith, a former resident of Hillsboro, died at his home in Muncie, Ill, Saturday evening at 6 p.m.  He was born at Veedersburg Jan 21, 1871 the son of Richard and Mary Chumley Isley. He had resided in Muncie for a number of years. Survivors are the widow, Pearl Isley; a son, Richard Isley of Danville by a former marriage; four stepchildren, Mrs. Opal Hager, Hazel and Alfred Lamb of Muncie, Ill; and JH Lamb of Chicago; a sister, Mrs. Nellie Largent of Veedersburg; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held from the Muncie Baptist Church at 2 p.m. Tuesday with Rev. CW Kerst officiating. Burial was in the Stearns Cemetery north of Fithian, Ill.  --- transcribed by kbz
