Covington – Michael Marion Jackman, 62, died at 11:10 a.m. April 10, 1992 at the VA Medical Center at Danville, Ill. He was born Nov 9, 1929 at Rosedale, the son of William E. and Josephine Roccia Jackman. He was an Army veteran and a resident of the Tree Spring area since 1953 and a former resident of Parke County. He was a former operating engineer and was formerly employed at Coffing Brothers Orchard. Surviving are three sons: Jeffrey Michael Jackman, Cayuga; Michael M. Jackman II, Blytheville, Ark; William Raymond Jackman, Perrysville; a daughter, Dana Jean Jackman Perrysville; two sisters, Rozelle (James) Poole, Tilton, Ill; Martha Louise (Melvin) Blake, Brookstone; five grandchildren and two step grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son and a brother. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday at Shellby Funeral Home, Covington. Burial was in Danville National Cemetery. - kbz
