Carl L. Jackson, 72, Indianapolis, a native of Shannondale, died at 4:10 a.m. Saturday after a long illness. He owned a service station in Indianapolis and also a potato processing business prior to his recent retirement. He lived at 5923 E. 12th St., Apt. C, Arlington Terrace Apts. He was married to the former Zola M. Evans of Crawfordsville. Survivors include his wife; two sisters, Mrs. Edith E. Robbins and Mrs. Marie E. Cohn, Indianapolis, and a cousin, Paul R. Jackson Sr., Crawfordsville. Other cousins live in Covington. Funeral services are at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Conkle Funeral Home, 4925 W. 16th St., where Masonic rites are at 8:15 p.m. Monday. Friends may call at the funeral home. Burial will be in Crawfordsville Masonic Cemetery. - jlr

ADVANCE - Carl L. "Jack" Jackson, Boone County native and prominent Mason, died Saturday at Community Hospital in Indianapolis. Mr. Jackson, 72, had been a resident of the capital for 46 years, and at the time of his death lived at 5923 E. 12th St. The deceased retired from his interests in Redi-Foods Inc. in 1963. He had been associated with the firm for 12½ years. Mr. Jackson was a member of the Advance Masonic Lodge and had received a 50-year award from the Indiana Grand Lodge. He was affiliated with the Roberts Park United Methodist Church. Surviving are the widow, Zola Mae, and two sisters, Mrs. Ed E. Robbins of Crothersville and Mrs. Marie E. Cohn of Richmond Heights, Calif. Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday in Conkle Funeral Home at Speedway. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery at Crawfordsville. - jlr
