Source: The obituary is from a collection by Fauniel Hershberger, saved the 1950's, 60's and 70's. She was a life long resident of Fountain County Indiana.  The collection is now housed at Crawfordsville District Public Library.

Attica - Charles (Jackie) Jackson, 79, a life resident of Attica, who had resided for the past 23 years at 201 W. Logan St., died at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26, at a hospital in Logansport. He had been a patient there for 11 days. Born April 13, 1833, in Attica, he was the son of Isaac and Henritta Holcomb Jackson. He was married Feb. 13, 1930 to Myra Otterman, who survives. Mr. Jackson had been a painter and decorator. He had continued his trade on a part time basis since retiring several years ago. Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Jones of Attica Rt. two step-daughters, Mrs. Marie Lashbrook of Hammond and Mrs. Betty Eberley of Attica; a step-son, Eugene Otterman of Hammond; eight grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the DeSutter Funeral Home here. The Rev. J. David Lang will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. - jlr
