Ralph E. Jackson, 80, 216 North Mill Street, Veedersburg, died at 6:40 p.m. Tuesday, November 15, at Veterans Administration Medical Center in Danville, Illinois.

  He was born July 16, 1903 in Paris, Illinois, the son of Thomas and Mary Ambers Jackson. He married Ruth Sollars in Chicago, who survives.

  He served in the Navy in the Atlantic and Pacific Theatres during World War II. He had been associated with Green Thumb Florist in Veedersburg and was a member of American Legion Post 288 in Veedersburg and United Methodist Church in Paris.
  Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Harvey of Sterling Heights, Michigan; a sister, Mrs. Dorothy dean of Vermilion, Illinois; three grandchildren and a great grandchild.

  Services were conducted Friday at Parham Funeral Home in Veedersburg with Dr. Gregg Curtis and Chaplain Gary Johnstone officiating. Burial was in Thomas Cemetery near Newport. – s-
