JACKSON, Robert H.

Robert H. Jackson, 69, of Kingman died Monday evening in Vermillion County Hospital at Clinton. He was a retired farmer and had served as road commissioner of Parke County for several years. He was a member of Kingman EUB Church. Mr. Jackson was born May 19, 1909, a son of James and Susan Pavey Jackson. He was first married to Grace McGill. She died Feb. 10, 1960. He was married to Elon Sowers on Feb. 17, 1974. She survives. Other survivors are a stepdaughter, Mrs. Joe (Kay) Blacketer of Kingman; a stepson, Kedrick Sowers of Wallace; a brother, Jessie Jackson of rural Kingman; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son and a foster son. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Woodrow Funeral Home at Kingman. The Rev. John Foxworthy of Wallace will officiate. Burial will be in Rush Creek Cemetery. Friends may call 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. - jlr
