Covington - Anna L. Janeway, 86 of Covington Manor Nursing Home died at 2:40 p.m. Sept 10, 1994. She was born on June 1, 1908 the daughter of William Oakley and Sarah Jane Peyton Cox. She married Roy Samuel Janeway Jan 27, 1927 in Veedersburg. He preceded her in death July 2, 1974. She was a member of Sterling Christian Church, Veedersburg; Sterling Ladies' Aid and GYO Birthday Club. Surviving are two daughters, Janet (Harold) Brown and Doris (William Lowell) Cates both of Veedersburg; a sister, Edna (Paul) Nunnes, Clovis, Calif; three sisters-in-law, Rose Cox, Grace Cox, both of Middletown, Ohio; Ruth Lord, Largo, Fla; 5 grandchildren 11 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by four brothers, a great grandson and great granddaughter. There will be no visitation. Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Monday at Rockfield Cemetery, Veedersburg with Rev. Gary Johnson officiating. Arrangements were handled by Dickerson Funeral.

She married Roy Samuel Janeway Jan 27, 1927 in Veedersburg. He died July 2, 1974. She is survived by two daughters: Janet (Harold T. Brown and Doris (William Lowell) Cates both of Veedersburg; one sister, Edna (Paul) Nunnes of Clovis, Calif; three sisters-in-law, Rose Cox and Grace Cox of Middletown, Ohio, and Ruth Lord of largo, Fla; five grandchildren, Terry (Jan) Shields, Tommilou (Butch) Corey, Sam (Maryann) Brown, Marla (Brett) Hauk all of Veedersburg and Lea Ann (Tom) Taylor of Lafayette; 11 great grandchildren, Bryan, Eric and Marci Shields, Amber, Allison and Rob Corey, all of Veedersburg and Hannah Marie Taylor of Lafayette; Travis and Chase Brown and Adam and Ryan Hauk, all of Veedersburg; four nephews, Phil and Mike Roach of Clovis, Calif and Troy and William Thomas Cox of Middletown, Ohio; four nieces, Peggy Swartz, Norma Jones and Jackie Palmer, all of Middletown, Ohio and Zella Rose Cox of Chino, Calif; a sister-in-law, Margaret Janeway of Crawfordsville. She was preceded in death by four brothers, a great grandson and a great granddaughter. She was a member of Sterling Christian Church in Veedersburg; Sterling Ladies Aid and GYO Birthday Club. There was no visitation. Service was held Monday at Rockfield Cemetery, Veedersburg with Rev. Gary Johnson officiating. Memorials may be made to Covington Senior Center.
