John H. Janeway, 82, Covington died at 7:50 a.m. Saturday, Oct 4, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center, Danville, IL. He was born in Fountain County July 10, 1904, son of Edward and Mattie Drollinger Janeway. He spent 19 years in the Panama Canal Zone, where he served 5 years in the Civilian Employee of the Army Exchange Service. While there, he married Virginia Kerrwich in Balboa Canal Zone, May 15, 1941. After returning to the states in 1949, he owned and operated the Janeway Feed Mill, Seed & Fertilizer Store in Kingman until 1970 when he retied. Surviving besides his wife are one sister, Dorothy Sheppard, Danville; a brother, Robert Janeway; Veedersburg and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters. Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. today (Tuesday) at Parham Golden Rule Funeral Home, Veedersburg, Rev. Rod Overpeck officiating. Burial in Rockfield cem, Veedersburg.
