ATTICA — Emmit E. Jaynes of Gary, a native of the Attica community, died Wednesday, June 19, at the St. Margaret Hospital in Hammond. He had been ill some time. Survivors include: his widow, Clara (Peg) Shamp Jaynes; two sisters, Mrs. Penick of Attica and Mrs. Bernice Hughes of Lafayette; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Roemer Funeral Home here. The Rev. Harry Randolph officiated and burial was in Riverside Cemetery. --waw
