Covington – Mrs. Moe Jenks, accompanied by her son, Clifford Jenks went to Detroit Saturday upon receipt of a message informing her of the death of Barbara Jean Jenks, age 5, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Morris Jenks. The child, at play with a pet dog got the animals leash caught her around her neck and when the dog started to run, choked her to death. The father was a former Veedersburg resident. Mrs. Joe Jenks is the child’s grandmother and Clifford Jenks is an uncle. They remained for the funeral services which were held Monday in Detroit.
