JENKS, Dewey - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Veedersburg - Dewey Jenks, 77, of Rt 1, a retired employee of General Motors died at 12:05 p.m. Tuesday in Covington Manor Care Center. He had been a patient several months. Born Sept 23, 1898, at Hillsboro, he was a son of Enos and Georgia May Hybarger Jenks. He first married Frances L. McKinney. She is deceased. He later married Mabel Watkins on July 28, 1957 at Covington. She survives. Also surviving are six daughters, Betty at home; Mrs. Helen Beedle of West Lafayette; Mrs. Mildred Carron of Cayuga; Mrs. Joyce Richardson, Mrs. Deloris Keener of Union City and Mrs. Sonia Swafford of Mississippi; two sons, Dewey and Harold Wayne of Union City; two brothers, Clifford of Rt 2, Veedersburg and Marvin of Rt 3, Covington; two sisters, Mrs. Lulu Watts of Rt 3, Covington and Mrs. Edith Bayes of West Lafayette; 20 grandchldren and 13 great grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Parham Funeral Home, Veedersburg with Rev. Glen youngblood officiating. Burial will be in Miller Cemetery, Lodi. Friends may call at the funeral home. -- kbz
