Margaret E. Jenks, 91, Veedersburg, died 8:05 am Wednesday at St. Vincent Hospital, Williamsport. Mrs. Jenks was a life long resident of Veedersburg, where she and her husband raised their family on the farm in the Cades Hollow area. She helped on the family farm and worked for a time at RMC in Attica and at the Southeast Fountain School System. She attended New Century Church as a child and later attended Cooper's Chapel Church with her family for many years. She was born Nov. 29, 1915 at Veedersburg to Raymond and Alina (Reed) Furr. On Dec. 30, 1933, she married Clifford Jenks at Fairmount, Ill. He died in 1991. She is survived by a daughter, Shirley (Larry) Strean; one son Duane (Marlene Conrad) Jenks,; a brother, Bob (Jenny) Furr; a grandaughter; three great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother, two sisters, one daughter Jackie Jenks, and a grandson. Funeral services are 2 p.m. Saturday at Dickerson Funeral Home, with burial at the Rockfield Cemetery in Veedersburg. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
