JENKS, Russell Melvin - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Veedersburg- Russell Melvin Jenks, 17 year old son of the late Virgil Jenks and Mrs. Geraldine Jenks, died of leukemia Saturday at Robert Long Hospital, Indianapolis. He had been ill a year and a half. His father died Oct 1, 1955, of injuries suffered in an auto accident. The youth, who would have been a senior in high school this fall, was born Aug 24, 1940. He was a member of the Veedersburg Methodist Church and Scout Troop 75, He was an Explorer Scout. The body was brought to the J. Fred Parham Funeral Home here and taken to the family residence, where friends may call. At 1 p.m. Monday the body will be taken to the Methodist Church, where services are set for 2 p.m. with Rev. Donald Weaver, the pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery at Covington.
