ATTICA — Mrs. Emma Catherine Johnson, age 94, of Attica, died at 10:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 19, at the Community Hospital in Williamsport where she had been a patient one week. She had been ill two months. Mrs. Johnson was born Dec. 21, 1873, the daughter of Frank and Elizabeth Wagner Shultz. She was married in 1894 to Hiram Johnson, who preceded her in death. She was a member of the Riverside Evangelical United Brethren Church and attended Hall School in Davis Township. Surviving are: two daughters, Mrs. Mary Miles of Williamsport and Mrs. Anna Day of Attica; two sons, Carl of Lafayette and Raymond of Cecilia, Ky.; 23 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Roemer Funeral Chapel here. The Rev. R. D. Snell officiated and burial was in Salem Cemetery, northeast of Attica. --waw
