WILLIAMSPORT, CNS) - Joseph N. Johnson, 76, of Williamsport, died at 10:30 p.m. yesterday (Sept. 11, 1969) in Williamsport Community Hospital. A native of Sweden, he was born Feb. 28, 1893, a son of August and Matilda Anderson Johnson. He formerly was employed at Harrison Steel Castings Co. in Attica. He lived in Attica until 1931 when he moved to Warren County. He owned and operated a farm until three years ago when he retired and moved to Williamsport. He was married July 18, 1931, in Attica to Hazel Gustus who survives. Also surviving are a son, Richard L. Johnson of Taylor Ridge, Ill. Route l; two sisters, Mrs. Thelma Karlson and Mrs. Elin Karlson both of Sweden, and three grandchildren. He was a member of the Lutheran Church of Attica and Attica Lodge 708, F&AM. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Crowmer-Siddens Funeral Home in Williamsport. The Rev. Karl Korbel will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Attica. Friends will be received at the funeral home after 6 p.m. Saturday. There will be Masonic services at the cemetery. - jlr
