Lawrence Johnson, 92, a former resident of 10 S. Bowman, died at 4:22 a.m. today (Oct. 27, 1967) in the Danville Care Nursing Home where he had been a patient since January of 1965, Born Sept. 28, 1875, in Cates, Ind., he was a son of Ruben and Ann Dodson Johnson. He was a retired painter and interior decorator. He was married in 1895 at Cates to Lulu Rennick who preceded him in death Aug. 9, 1962. Surviving is a daughter, Mrs. Eugene (Juanita) Webb, Danville. He was also preceded in death by two brothers. Mr. Johnson was a member of the Fountain County, Ind., Christian Church. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Edmund-Jones-Sullivan Funeral Home. The Rev. Oliver Starn will officiate. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday. - jlr
