JOHNSON, Linden

Source: The obituary is from a collection by Fauniel Hershberger, saved the 1950's, 60's and 70's. She was a life long resident of Fountain County Indiana.  The collection is now housed at Crawfordsville District Public Library.

Services and burial were in Tampa, Fla., for Dr. Linden Johnson a former resident of Newtown. He died in December at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Tampa. Dr. Johnson was retired from the United States Public Health Service and had been the medical officer in charge of the Outpatient Clinic at Tampa. He had resided at the Manhattan Convalescent Home for the past five years. Born in the Newtown area, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Johnson. He was a graduate of Newtown High, DePauw University in 1936 and Indiana School of Medicine in 1940. He was married to Gayle Stahl of Newtown, who survives. Other survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Kell of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Hazel Fisher of Hayward, Wis. - jlr
