Source: The obituary is from a collection by Fauniel Hershberger, saved the 1950's, 60's and 70's. She was a life long resident of Fountain County Indiana.  The collection is now housed at Crawfordsville District Public Library.

Miss Mae Johnson, 95, of 405 E. Main, Attica, died Tuesday (June 24, 1969) at the Alward Nursing Home. She had been a patient there since January 1962. Born Feb. 13, 1874, she was the daughter of Charles and Lesily Johnson. She was a life resident of Attica and graduated from Indiana University. She taught school for two years and then was employed at the Sterling Remedy Co. in Attica. Miss Johnson retired after being employed at the Central National Bank and Trust Co, in Attica for 35 years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Pi Beta Phi Sorority, Art History Club and Order of Eastern Star Chapter 125. There are no immediate survivors. She was preceded in death by three brothers. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the DeSutter Funeral Home. The Rev. G. Harold Bachert will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. The body is at the funeral home. Friends will be recived after 6 p.m. Thursday. - jlr
