West Lebanon, March 20 – Hiram Jones, 78, well known grain elevator man here, died Sunday at the Lafayette Home Hospital from cerebral embolus following an operation. He fell last August and broke a hip, March 17 he fell at the Wabash Valley sanitarium, north of Lafayette and broke the other hip. He was born in Lebanon and was married twice. His first wife, Viola Etta Clawson died June 30, 1926. He married July 2, 1928 to Mrs. Ethel Crane who survives with two sons, Leslie of Decatur, Ill and Lowell of Stone Bluff, and a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Robertson of Williamsport. Body taken from the EA Hamilton Funeral Home to the family residence Monday noon. Funeral at West Lebanon Christian Church 2:30 p.m. Tuesday. Interment Beulah Cemetery, south of Attica.
