John Jacob Jones III, age 30 years, died Monday, June 20, 1977, at Hendricks County Hospital at Danville, Ind. He was lovingly known to his family and friends as Jack. He is survived by a son, Brian Thomas Jones of Okeana, Ohio; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John J. Jones, Jr., of Plainfield, Ind., (former Attica residents); a sister, Peggy Young of East Peoria, Ill.; a brother, Dick Jones of Lansing, Mich.; and two nieces. He lived most of his life in Lafayette and was graduated from Jefferson High Shcool and attended Purdue University. He was a member of Trinity Methodist Church in Lafayette. Funeral services are being held, at 10:30 a.m. Friday morning, June 24, 1977, at Hall-Baker Funeral Home in Plainfield, Ind. Graveside services will be held in Attica at 2:00 p. m. at Riverside cemetery. Mr. Jones was a nephew of Mr. and Mrs. Howard (Butch) Hayes of Attica. – jlr
