Source: The obituary is from a collection by Fauniel Hershberger, saved the 1950's, 60's and 70's. She was a life long resident of Fountain County Indiana.  The collection is now housed at Crawfordsville District Public Library.

Mrs. Della May Jordan, 56, of State Line, Ind., was pronounced dead on arrival at 8:30 p. m. Thursday (May 11, 1961) at St. Elizabeth Hospital. She had been in failing health several years. The daughter of Seymore and Birte Gibson Palmer, she was born on June 19, 1904 in Warren City, Ind. On Sept. 29, 1920, she was married in Williamsport, Ind., to Noah Lawrence Jordan. He survives. Other survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Helen Key, Mrs. Barbara Rudolph, both of Danville; Mrs. Pearl Hollowell of Gessie, Ind.; Mrs. Mearl Goodrick, West Lebanon, Ind., and Miss Judith Jordan at home; 11 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; a brother, Charles Palmer of State Line; a sister, Mrs. Estella Bryant of Danville; a half-brother, Earl Odle, and a half-sister, Florence Pittman, both of Danville. Her parents and two children preceded her in death. The body is at the Jones-Sullivan Funeral Home where friends will be received 7-9 p. m. Friday, and 2-4 and 7-9 p. m. Saturday. Services will be at 2:30 p. m. Sunday at the Christian Church in State Lane, Ind. Burial will be in Gopher Hill Cemetery.  -- typed by Walt W
