COVINGTON — Funeral services for Mrs. Emma Jordan, age 73, of 832 Jefferson St., who died at 12:55 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 28, were held at 4 p.m. Thursday at the Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home here. The Rev. Edgar Allen officiated and burial was in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Mrs. Jordan died at the Westbrook Nursing Home in Crawfordsville where she had been a patient two weeks. She was born July 28, 1896 at Lincoln, Ill., the daughter of Albert and Marie Troxel Meyer. On Jan. 8, 1949 she married Burton E. Jordan, who preceded her in death Feb. 19, 1959. Mrs. Jordan had been a resident of Covington since 1949, and had resided before then at Alvin, Ill. She was a housekeeper before her retirement four years ago. She attended the First Assembly of God Church here. Surviving Mrs. Jordan are: a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Iva M. Jordan of Williamsport Rt. 2, and one granddaughter, Miss Linda Jordan, also of Williamsport Rt. 2. --typed by Walt W
